Autumn-flowering bulbs

Surprising and attractive are the crocuses that suddenly appear in the garden after a few humid summer days in August. It will be autumn again when the autumn thistel under the bushes shows its first flowers. This interesting group offers the opportunity to colour your garden with bulbous and tuberous plants from late summer onwards. For sunny and dry sites, these include autumn crocus,  autumn snowflake and autumn-flowering scilla. Colchicum is ideal for naturalising in lightly shaded locations in slightly moist soil.
