Crocus niveus

Intro: 1874. Origin: southern Greece, mainly in the Peloponnese. Soft blue flowers, somertimes white. The throat is yellowish orange. It has a scarlet pistil which at the top is split in three parts. The anthers are yellow. This crocus prefers a not too dry spot. A warm summer ensures abundant flowering.
