Selection with dark green heart-shaped leaves. Lighter green in the centre. Origin of C. hederifolium: Corsica, Sardinia, south-eastern France, Italy, large parts of the Balkans, Greece and western Turkey. In 1538, this well-known cyclamen was recorded under the name: C. neapolitanum. From the flat tuber, which is surrounded by a cork-like skin, numerous flower stems 10–15 cm tall emerge from late August onwards, bearing pink flowers.
