Origin: Western and Northern Cyprus, in forests with a rocky surface. It is an annual delight for the Cypriots when this fragrant cyclamen is blooming en masse in the autumn and winter. The flowers appear together with the leaves and are white or very light pink with a magenta spot on the throat. The heart shaped, olive-green leaves are decorated with grey or cream coloured stripes and the undersides have a purple glow. The plant needs to be protected from frost.
