A Cyclamen from the Mediterranean climate, hot, dry summers and warm, humid winters, occurring on Rhodes, southern Turkey and sporadically in north-western Cyprus. The odourless flowers in various shades of pink, appear from September onwards, characteristic of the species is that after fertilisation, the flower stem starts to coil up from the centre and not from the top as in most species. The leaf pattern is very varied and attractive.
