BELONGS TO THE FAMILY OF PRIMULACEAE, MYRSINOIDEAE

The name Cyclamen is derived from the ancient Greek plant name 'Kyklaminas' ('Kyklos'), meaning: circle or disc, referring to the disc-shaped tubers. A cyclamen needs to be 'established' for a few years before reaching rich and optimal flowering. Propagation is done by sowing seeds immediately as soon as they are ripe. A cyclamen grows and flowers best in humus-rich soil with good drainage. Protected against excessive cold in winter by low underplanting; a rest period in summer (sun and warmth); and some shade against bright sunlight in winter and spring.

All products offered are exclusively material propagated at a Dutch nursery.

The Cyclamen are supplied in pots. This ensures easier regrowth of the tuber.
