An early-flowering species from the forests of the northern Caucasus, Teberda, Stavropol. A variable species, the flowers of the offered form are creamy white with an apricot-pink hue and stand in compact clusters. (B)

According to an ancient Greek dictionary, korys or korythos means: head covering, helmet, or hood. The Latin korydalis (crowned lark) is likely derived from this. The spurs of the flowers bear a resemblance to the crest of a lark.
The genus Corydalis comprises hundreds of beautiful species and the cultivars derived from them. All species, which are particularly suitable for planting under shrubs and trees, prefer a (partially) shaded spot.
