Corydalis macrocentra
A rare Corydalis that grows wild in rocky areas, on sandy and scree slopes in Central Asia and Afghanistan. The large tuber lies deep underground. This attractive plant has a compact habit; the long-spurred flowers are initially bronze-coloured in bud, open to a golden yellow, and as they mature, a bronze sheen develops over the flower. The leaves are deeply lobed and blue-green. (S)
