Description

Intro: 1753. Nederlandse benaming: kogel- of kalklook, vanwege de totale plantbouw ook wel trommelstokken (drumsticks) genoemd. De holvormige bladeren omvatten ca. eenderde van de bloemsteel. De ca. 5 cm grote bolvormige en compacte bloeiwijze bestaat uit tientallen kleine klokvormige roodpaarse bloemetjes met uitstekende meeldraden. Herkomst: Middellandse-Zeegebied tot in de Kaukasus, de Belgische Ardennen en in de buurt van Bristol. Prima snij- en droogbloem.
