Description
The supply of this species was collected in 1969 in Kashmir, an area in Asia spread across China, India and Pakistan. P.N. Kohl, a grower and collector in Srinagar, northern Pakistan, offered the lot to M.H. Hoog in 1970. The slender white, sometimes pale pink petals have a crimson blush on the outside, which becomes more intense in colour as flowering progresses. The inside is white with a yellow centre, sometimes with something blackish purple. Beautiful is the contrast of the black anthers.
