Description
Intro: 1838. They are still found in central and northern Corsica. There are only two species on the island of Corsica, the other is C. minimus. The flowers of this very peculiar crocus are light to dark purple on the inside, the outside is yellowish with one, sometimes three violet stripes with fine veins. The throat is white to light lilac.
