Description

Intro: 1821. Native to the Caucasus, occurring in forested areas. Usually lilac-purple flowers a white form also exists. Flowers are 2-3 cm long with straight spurs. The easy-growing species has been called one of the best introductions of recent years by Brian Mathew. (B)
