Description

Clivia nobilis is one of the lesser-known Clivia species from S. Africa. The species is notable for its tubular pendulous flowers, which appear from June onwards. They hang together by many at the end of a long, flat flower stem. After pollination, the large roll of round pendulous fruits form, which are visible for a long time and give the plant extra ornamental value. Young plants offered here should develop considerably over the next few years before the first flowers can be expected. And good potting soil of equal parts clay and leaf mould promotes growth considerably.
