Description
Native to Spain and Morocco where it grows in rock crevices or on very stony ground near the sea or in very warm areas inland. In autumn, several pure white, glistening flowers appear on a 10-15 cm long stem. The leaves, about one cm wide, have a silver stripe across the centre, and usually disappear in April-May. Lapiedra martinezii is the only species in the genus.
