Description
Wood anemone (nemorosus means: growing in the forest). A fast-growing, ground covering, rhizome-forming plant that is very wide spread (from Lapland to Italy, but also in Asia and North America). The wood anemone was already known in the 16th century. The flower colour is white with on the outside of the petals a blush of lilac-pink. A leaf rosette develops after flowering.
