Description

Intro 1792, Cyrillo. A species similar to A. subhirsutum that is native around the Mediterranean from Crete to the Riviera. The white star-shaped flowers show a pinkish-red vein on the outside of the petals and together form a semi-spherical umbel. Sometimes there is a pinkish-red tinge over the flowers. The leaves (trifoliatus is three-leaved) remain green at the time of flowering. Floriferous in April-May. (Synonym: A. graecum, A. subhirsutum subsp. trifoliatum, A. subhirsutum var. graecum).
