Native to northern Afghanistan, collected by Professor Tom Hewer and Grey Wilson in 1969. Brought to market through Wageningen by L.W.D. of Raamsdonk. A very alluring little tulip with shiny yellow flowers that have a red flame on the outer petals. Occurring variable in the wild. Usually bears two to three flowers per stem.
