Scilla persica
Up to 50 star-shaped, mid-blue flowers form an airy flower cluster, appearing from April. The shiny pale green leaves are up to 30 cm long in the shape of a V, with a stout “keel” forming the base of the V. Found on moist meadows in Turkey and northern and western Iran, Scilla is an excellent bulbous plant to keep in the garden in nutrient-rich soil.
