Description
Registered in 2011. A seedling of M. 'White Rose Beauty', selected by Augis Dambrauskas. A beautiful soft pink, long flowering and fragrant bluebell. The colour is more intense when the weather is cooler. The dense cylindrical inflorescence is up to three cm long. The four to six leaves, up to 16 cm long, are medium grey-green. Also excellent for naturalising and goes well with other spring flowering plants.
BELONGS TO THE FAMILY OF HYACINTHACEAE
This widely known genus has several synonyms: Botryanthus, Muscarimia, and Pseudomuscari.
Muscari comes from the Latin: muscus (musky).
Some species are surrounded by this musky scent.
The genus Muscari consists of about thirty species originating from the Mediterranean region, Turkey, to the Caucasus.
Known by the collective name grape hyacinths.
