Intro: 1594. Origin: large parts of Europe and southwestern Asia to northern Iran, rare in Belgium and the Netherlands (Stinzen plant). Needs to be planted in a moist spot. The leaves appear during the winter months, frost does not affect them. The 20-35 cm high flower stems bear three to five bell-shaped white flowers of which each sepal is adorned with a green tip. Dutch grown bulbs.
