Description

(Synonym: A. macrochaetum tuncelianum subsp.) A wild garlic, native to the Munzur Valley in Tunceli in eastern Turkey. The typical garlic flavour is recognisable and it is also used as such, even though the underground parts are more like those of A. ampeloprasum. Its stem is twisted, until the soft greenish-white spherical, compact inflorescence appears, consisting of hundreds of flowers. Decorative and tasty.
