Tulipa dubia 'Beldersai'

A. Vvedensky described T. dubia in 1935 after a Tulipa collected near the Chotan River in the western Tien-Shan at high altitude. Dubia means: with some doubt. The offered form originally grows on the slopes of the Beldersai valley, near Mount Chimgan. The striking leaves are grey, sometimes almost purple; the flowers are yellow, orange-red on the outside.
