Tulipa aucheriana

Introduced by H. Elwes in 1880, but discovered in 1838 by Pierre Aucher - Eloy. Origin: Iran and Syria. The two to five grey-green, wavy leaves are about 15 cm long. One to three pink flowers with pointed petals and a yellow-brown heart. The exterior of the petals has a yellow-brown blush. When the flowers open they show a distinct star shape. Fragrant.
