BELONGS TO THE FAMILY OF OXALIDACEAE

Origin: South Africa and tropical and subtropical America. Oxalis is derived from the Greek names oxys (sharp) and als (salty), referring to the taste of the plant sap.

They prefer well-drained sandy peat soil, which does not need to be rich in nutrients. Oxalis is particularly suitable for a sunny rock garden, pots, and hanging baskets. Cover in winter or overwinter indoors.
