Tropaeolum pentaphyllum
An herbaceous creeper plant, native to the Andes, South America. A local nickname for the plant is 'Ladies legs', the slender flowers are said to be reminiscent of pink legs with green shoes. The flowers appear en masse from May among the five-lobed leaves. When the flowers are fertilised, purple fruits appear. The plant is not hardy, nice for in a pot on the terrace and indoors in winter.
