Hyacinthoides mauritanica

(Synonym: Scilla vicentina and H. vicentina) only occurring in the southwestern tip of Portugal and the area around Tangier. Initially it was thought that this hyacinth was extinct, fortunately some new populations were found. Flora Europaea considers it to be a smaller form of H. italica. The small, soft blue flowers appear in May. For a sunny spot.
