Intro 1909. Origin: Afghanistan, northeastern Iran and southeastern Turkey. Related to F. imperialis. Has glossy, pointed green leaves that are arranged alternately up to fifteen cm from the inflorescence. Each star-shaped, drooping flower, positioned almost horizontally on the stem, is primrose yellow with a soft green glow. Fantastic spring flower.
