Intro: 1847. Origin: southern 'Yugoslavia' to southern Hungary, but mainly on limestone hills in Dalmatia. The star-shaped flowers are particularly richly flowering. Propagates spontaneously and is an excellent crocus for naturalising. Blooms in February, or in case of a longer frost period in March.
