4Tissimo is the first registered tetraploid interspecific Clivia hybrid. It is a cross between Clivia robusta and Clivia miniata, in which the chromosome count has been doubled. 4Tissimo is highly fertile and sometimes produces seeds even with diploid Clivia. Seeds are also easy to obtain with other tetraploid varieties. Clivia likes well-drained potting soil and a spot in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
