The inflorescence consists of bell-shaped nodding flowers, purplish in colour and enveloped in a green haze. The tips of the petals are golden yellow, as is the throat. Nice little cut flower, but if you let it grow, the beautiful fruiting spikes appear. It is one of the easiest fritillaries.
